Empty Computer Temporary Files and History Every time you install  or uninstall a program, view a webpage, etc, there files that lay in special "temporary folders" on your computer's hard drive. We have found a very nice, user friendly freeware called "CCleaner" to help you. This tool is a one button click to take out the trash on your system. It will not uninstall software. We were surprised that the first time it was used on a system, that it found over 2 gigabytes of trash on one client's computer.
